General Information
Reading
We love reading at St. Peter's and look to foster that same love of reading in our children and families. To help your child learn to love reading, we ask that children are heard read at home four times a week to help them build fluency and comprehension, as well as to develop a better understanding of this world and to explore new ones! Children can change their books and select a new one as soon as they finish, so please ensure they have them available every day.
Homework
Children receive homework every Friday to be collected the following Wednesday. They will receive Maths, English and Spelling homework weekly.
PE
Almond class have PE lessons on Thursdays and Fridays. Please ensure your child has their PE kit ready at school, jewellery is safely stored away at home, and hair is neatly tied back. For the safety of our children during PE days, we kindly request that you ensure earrings are removed before they come to school. This is essential for their well-being. Please also remember that for outdoor PE sessions, tracksuit or jogging bottoms and trainers are welcome to ensure the comfort and safety of the children in colder weather.

Our Year 6 children will be undertaking their KS2 SATs from Monday 13th - Thursday 16th May
We will be offering a SATs workshop for parents to offer more information in the coming weeks.
Our Year 5 children will be attending their residential trip to Robinwood from Wed 1st - Friday 3rd May. There will be a parents' meeting regarding this in the coming weeks and all information will be available here.
Our Year 6 children will be attending their residential trip to London from Wednesday 5th - Friday 7th June. There will be a parents' meeting regarding this in the coming weeks and all information will be available here.
