General Information
Reading
We love reading at St. Peter's and look to foster that same love of reading in our children and families. To help your child learn to love reading, we ask that children are heard reading at home four times a week to help them build fluency and comprehension, as well as to develop a better understanding of the world! Children's books will be monitored throughout the week and changed on Fridays. Please make sure reading records are signed and books are brought to school every day.
Homework
Children receive homework every Friday to be collected the following Thursday. This will be maths, reading or spelling and handwriting tasks.
PE
PE is on Monday and Thursday. Please ensure your child has their indoor and outdoor PE kit ready at school to ensure the comfort and safety in colder weather. During PE days, we kindly request that you ensure earrings are removed before they come to school and hair is tied back. Please also remember that for outdoor PE sessions, tracksuit or jogging bottoms and trainers can be worn.
